Inmates from the Western Correctional Institution in Cresaptown begin a three-day project along the Allegheny Highlands Trail in Cumberland. The inmates will cut brush and trees along the corridor and will conclude the cleanup by planting redbud and evergreen trees in select areas. The seedlings that will be planted were raised by inmates in the horticulture class in the facility’s greenhouse area.
