State Route 46 was closed to traffic for several hours Monday morning after this logging truck spilled its load while descending the icy mountain, said West Virginia State Police Sgt. J.M. Droppleman.
The 5:45 a.m. accident occurred three miles east of Jennings Randolph Lake as the driver was trying to negotiate a sharp turn to the left, causing his tractor-trailer to overturn in the middle of the curve.
The West Virginia Division of Highways also responded to the scene, as did emergency crews from Bloomington and Westernport.
