Combs speaker for D.C. Mother's Day ceremony

— CUMBERLAND - City resident Jim Combs will be a speaker at the 9th annual Mother's Day at The Wall ceremony Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The ceremony remembers those who have given their lives to the nation's defense and honors the sacrifice of loved ones, in particular the mothers, they left behind.
Teachers and students from across the country make Mother's Day cards to be read by some of the moms, who then lay the cards at the base of The Wall.
A representative of the American Gold Star Mothers will speak as well.
