Alexander returns as Midland mayor

MIDLAND - Craig Alexander will return as Midland's mayor following his election to the post Monday.

Town Clerk Ted Baker said Alexander, who was unopposed, received 48 votes. He opted not to run in 2006 when he unsuccessfully pursued the office of register of wills.

Joining Alexander on the council will be Nellie Tighe, 43 votes; Camille Alexander, 42 votes; John Monahan, 40 votes; and John "Ed" Campbell, 39 votes.
