Yard sale for memorial fund

FROSTBURG — A yard sale to benefit the Emmaline Anna-Maria McKenzie Tree House Fund will be held by S&S Personal Care on June 6 and 7 at Charlie’s Motel on Main Street.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and S&S is accepting donated items for the sale. Tables may be set up for a $10 donation. Call (301) 689-2223 for more information.

S&S is also challenging businesses or individuals to match its $500 donation to the fund.

The fund was started to enhance the Parris Glendening Recreation Complex Playground in memory of Emmaline McKenzie, who died at age 3 when a rock crashed through the windshield of her father’s truck while traveling on Vale Summit Road.

Family members Ron, Stacy and Isabella McKenzie created the tree house fund.

The yard sale rain dates are June 13 and 14.
