Fire damages Ellerslie home

A firefighter prepares to descend a ladder after working on the roof of a Timber Trail Road home in Ellerslie that caught fire Tuesday evening. The 911 call came in just after 7 p.m. reporting fire in the kitchen area of the Ray Logue home, located off Mason Dixon View. The single-story structure also houses Logue’s Cabinet Shop. About 30 firefighters from Ellerslie, Corriganville, Mount Savage, LaVale, Bedford Road, Bowling Green, Bowman’s Addition, Hyndman and Wellersburg, Pa., responded. There were no injuries although one family cat died in the blaze. Volunteers were on the scene for more than two hours.
