New social work course at ACM

CUMBERLAND — Ethics, Intervention, Risks and Expert and Fact Witness Testimony with Children and Adults will be taught Oct. 3 at Allegany College of Maryland by Carlton Munson, a noted expert in the field.

Deadline to register for the course, which meets from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is Wednesday.

Social workers and others can gain insight into ethical intervention regarding child maltreatment and custody cases in the new continuing education course.

It is approved for six Category I hours for Maryland social workers.

Munson is professor of social work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where he earned master of social work and doctoral degrees.
