Fort Ashby teenagers charged in burglaries

KEYSER, W.Va. — Two Fort Ashby youths, ages 15 and 16, have been charged in connection with numerous breaking and enterings that occurred recently in Fort Ashby, West Virginia State Police said.
The youths were identified through information provided by citizens and interviews.
The youths have been charged with burglary and theft counts and were released to the custody of their parents, pending action by juvenile court.
A search warrant executed at a residence of one of the suspects led to recovery of most of the stolen property taken in the incidents, police said.
The investigation is continuing.
The victims included Grady’s One-Stop convenience store, The Perky Bean Restaurant, Gain’s Service Station, the public library, the community building and a church.
The initial investigations were conducted by state police and the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department.
