Mineral County Clerk Lauren Ellifritz, right, registers Potomac State College sophomore Westly Evans to vote during the college’s Civic Bash ’08. The theme of the event was “To be patriotic is to be active.” The one-stop shop for everything political featured a meet-and-greet session with local candidates and information about political parties and emergency services. More than 40 students registered to vote for the first time at the event, held in the school’s gymnasium.
