City leaf collection begins Monday in West Side

CUMBERLAND — The city of Cumberland will begin collecting leaves Monday in the Upper West Side.

This includes all streets north of Greene Street to Wills Creek, Braddock Road and the Seton Drive area.

• Nov. 10 to 14

Lower West Side — all streets south of Greene Street to Kelly Road and the Dingle area.

• Nov. 17 to 21

North End — all streets between Frederick Street to the city limits on Piedmont Avenue.

• Dec. 1 to 5

South End and East Side — all streets between Oldtown Road and Williams Street, and all streets between Williams Street and Frederick Street.

• Dec. 8 to 12

South End — all streets below Virginia Avenue underpass, west of Virginia Avenue to Industrial Boulevard, and east of Virginia Avenue between Industrial Boulevard and Oldtown Road.

Mineral County Board of Education meets Tuesday

KEYSER, W.Va. — Members of the Mineral County Board of Education will discuss drug testing for students when they meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at 1 Baker Place.

The board also will consider approval of clinical agencies for the Technical Center’s practical nursing program and personnel requests.
