Maysville to discuss ambulance

MAYSVILLE, W.Va. — The Maysville Volunteer Fire Company will hold a community meeting Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at the old fire station in hopes of gaining support for the company to run an ambulance in Grant County.

The fire company has asked the county commissioners for their support but has been turned down, members said.

The members have been running emergency medical services since 1992 to provide care to Maysville and Scherr area patients prior to an ambulance arriving. Petitions in support of the ambulance have been placed at Patterson Creek Market, Galen’s Store and Grant Kimble’s Store.
