Bags of Plenty holiday food drive kicks off Wednesday

CUMBERLAND — Western Maryland Food Bank’s 22nd Annual Bags of Plenty Food Drive will begin Wednesday.

Bags will be distributed in the Wednesday edition of the Cumberland Times-News in Allegany County.

Bags filled with nonperishable food items can be dropped off at several collection points. The goal is to reach 20,000 pounds of food. The drive will run through Nov. 25.

• Cresaptown — Food Lion and Dollar General.

• Cumberland — Greene Street Dollar General, Farley’s Foodland, City Central Fire Station, Martin’s Market, Mor for Less on Queen City Drive and in White Oaks, Save-A-Lot, Western Maryland Food Bank, 816 Frederick St.

• Ellerslie — Mr. T’s Mini Mart.

• Frostburg — Dollar General, Food Lion.

• LaVale — Dollar General, Martin’s Market and Wal-Mart.

• Westernport — Dollar General and Kenny’s Market.

• Lonaconing — Love’s Market.
