Fire destroys mobile home

At least one person was injured in a mobile home fire at 17804 Sierra Lane in Oldtown that was reported at 1:54 p.m. Monday, according to the Allegany County 911 center. Oldtown Volunteer Fire Company ambulance arrived at Memorial Hospital around 4:05 p.m. with one person who reportedly received burns to the feet. The owner of the home reported the fire, according to Oldtown Assistant Chief Dan Breeding. The trailer was home to five people, two of whom were there when the fire was discovered, Breeding said. The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. There were 24 personnel who responded from Oldtown, District 16, Ellerslie, Flintstone, Mount Savage, Baltimore Pike, Clarysville and Paw Paw and Springfield, W.Va., fire companies. The firefighters were on the scene until 3:44 p.m. No other information was available.
