Seniors need holiday meals

OAKLAND — Since the Meals on Wheels program does not deliver meals on Thanksgiving or Christmas, volunteers are needed to assure that frail, homebound Garrett County senior citizens who do not have family in the area have an opportunity for a hot meal.

Volunteers are asked to make an additional plate of food and take it to the home of a senior citizen. People are usually needed in the northern and southern sections of the county.
