The quintet presents a blend of music spanning more than 350 years. Its repertoire draws from classical selections such as Bach and Handel, jazz artists Duke Ellington and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as popular and patriotic pieces.
The concert is sponsored by Bishop Walsh School and the Cumberland Times-News.
The group formed in 1973 with members who have diverse educational backgrounds and professional experiences. They have performed with the National Repertory Orchestra, Woodlands Symphony Orchestra, Lima Symphony, Bowling Green Philharmonia, Orchestra of the Finger Lakes, Kansas City Symphony and Williamsport Symphony Orchestra.
The musicians also have performed with many chamber music ensembles, including the Summit Brass, Kansas City Symphony Brass Ensemble, Blue Lake Wind Quintet, and the faculty brass quintets of New Mexico State University and Illinois State University.
