ROMNEY, W.Va. — Artists and artisans in Hampshire County are hosting the first Hampshire Highlands Studio Tour as part of the “Christmas In Hampshire” celebration Friday through Sunday.
The tour features 18 working artists and craftspeople at 13 different studio locations throughout the county. The public is invited to share the day, sample some cider and snacks and enjoy the beauty of each original creation — and see each artist and artisan at work in their respective studios.
Tour hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
A foldout brochure, which includes a tour map and directions to each studio is available at various outlets in Hampshire County — The Bottling Works, 426 E. Main St., Romney, is likely the best spot to pick up a brochure and learn more about the tour.
Also, drop by The Bottling Works through mid-December to check out the monthlong exhibit featuring the works of the artists and artisans participating in Hampshire Highlands Studio Tour.
The exhibit offers a sample of the original works by each tour participant.
The Bottling Works is the suggested location to start the tour and the exhibit just adds to the experience by providing a preview of what awaits for those who visit each studio.
Online information about the tour can be found at: www.HampshireHighlandsStudios.com.
