— KEYSER, W.Va. — The process for advertising for the new Mineral County school superintendent to replace Rob Woy, who is retiring, will begin shortly and the deadline for those interested in the position will be May 12, according to Howard M. O’Cull, executive director of the West Virginia School Board Association.

O’Cull, who was hired to assist in the search, said the position will be advertised in the media as well as  SchoolSpring, the national clearing house for public school administrative positions and the West Virginia Department of Education website.

The job posting will be sent to all county schools superintendents, county board presidents and Regional Education Service Agency executive directors, according to O’Cull.

Woy will retire effective in June. He replaced former Superintendent Skip Hackworth in 2011.
