Designs needed for Day of Caring, Sharing T-shirts

CUMBERLAND — The 16th anniversary of the Cumberland Day of Caring and Sharing will be held on May 17 beginning at 8 a.m.  

Citizens are again being asked to submit a design for the event T-shirt. One design will be chosen to appear on shirts that will be worn by volunteers participating in the event.

The Day of Caring and Sharing is a partnership between the United Way of Allegany County, Columbia Gas of Maryland and CSX Transportation.

Volunteers will gather on the Downtown Mall for opening ceremonies at 8 a.m.

This year’s T-shirt design will be screened on the front (or back). The design must be submitted on white paper, with a maximum size of 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches high. It must be limited to one color and one medium.

Contestants should include their name, address, telephone number and email address with their submission. Logos for United Way and the sponsors will be placed under the design.

Designs should be submitted to County United Way no later than noon on April 19.  Hard copies of a design can be mailed or delivered to: County United Way, 71 Baltimore St., 3rd floor, Cumberland, MD 21502.
