Denny’s restaurant robbed in Bedford

Nobody hurt as suspects make off with cash drop bags

BEDFORD, Pa. — Two masked men armed with knives robbed Denny’s restaurant in Bedford Township at about 2 a.m. Monday. There were no injuries, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Upon entering the business, one suspect forced two employees to the rear of the business while another kicked open an office door.

The suspect then removed cash drop bags containing an unspecified amount of cash.

The men left the business in an unknown type of vehicle, according to Trooper Jeffrey J. Heitzel.

A surveillance camera system was operating at the time of the incident.

One suspect was said to be a white man, 6 feet, 4 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray ski mask, black gloves, light blue jeans and black shoes, police said.

The second suspect was said to be a white man, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, black gloves, black pants and black shoes.
