Union Street traffic pattern to change

CUMBERLAND — Union Street will be closed from South Centre Street to the alley at the Center City Parking Garage exit Tuesday from 7 a.m. through Wednesday at 5 p.m., according to the Cumberland Engineering Department on behalf of Columbia Gas of Maryland and its contractor, Northern Pipeline.

Traffic from the parking garage will have to make a right turn onto Union Street when exiting. This change in traffic pattern will allow a new gas main and lines to be put in service.

Questions can be directed to the Cumberland Engineering Department at 301-759-6600.
