Bosley new clerk of Garrett District Court

— OAKLAND  —    Amy D. Bosley has been  appointed as the County Clerk of the District Court of Maryland for Garrett County. She succeeds Sandra Sue Hershman, who retired on Dec. 31.

Bosley began her career with the judiciary in May 2001 in the Circuit Court for Allegany County. In June of 2004, she transferred to the District Court for Garrett County as a criminal/traffic and courtroom clerk until her recent promotion.

She resides in Friendsville with her husband Steve and children, Tristen, Luke, Jacob and Hannah. She is a graduate of Allegany High School, Garrett Community College and the University of Maryland University College. She is working on her master’s degree in management at the University of Maryland University College. She is the daughter of Danny and Bonnie Hoyle, Cumberland.

Bosley was appointed to the county clerk position on Jan. 9. Her duties will include supervision of the clerk’s office as well as the overall daily operation of the court and all accounting and expungement duties.
