Ridgeley man ‘fair’ after city crash

CUMBERLAND — A Ridgeley, W.Va., man who was seriously injured when his motorcycle was struck by a passenger vehicle late Saturday at Harrison and Mechanic streets was listed in fair condition Monday.

David Krampf, 47, remained a patient Monday at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., following the 11:10 a.m. crash that also injured a 39-year-old Ridgeley woman who was a passenger on the motorcycle.

Cumberland Police said both patients were treated at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center after being taken there by the Cumberland Fire Department ambulance.

Krampf was flown Satrday night to Ruby Memorial for further treatment, according to a family member.

Police said the accident occurred when a 2002 Nissan passenger vehicle operated by Steven B. Pullin, 31, city, traveling southbound on Mechanic Street drove eastbound onto Harrison Street and into the path of the motorcycle operated by Krampf and also occupied by his passenger.
