School board finalizes legislative wish list

Allegany, Garrett collaborate to develop 9-issue presentation

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany

County Board of Education

approved Tuesday a list of

nine issues, ranging from funding

requests to reduced regulation,

to be presented for consideration

before the upcoming

session of the Maryland General

Assembly.

Each year, school systems

and other organizations that

seek state funds, prepare a list

of regulations and laws that

they wish to see clarified or

amended. The state funding

recipients also develop a list of

projects that they wish to have
