Test run

— Paul Haberlein, 10, is one of 17 drivers who participated in the Frostburg Derby Day trials held last weekend. Derby chairman Jim Meyers explains the rules of the annual July 4 event to Haberlein and he also checked the brakes of every car. There are 30 drivers registered to drive down Main Street when the Frostburg Elks hosts the 38th annual Derby Day. The soapbox racing will take place from noon to 3 p.m.
