Poker tables to open at Rocky Gap

ROCKY GAP — Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency Director Stephen Martino has signed the operations license allowing Rocky Gap Casino Resort to open new poker tables to the public following a successful controlled demonstration.

The goal of the Oct. 3 demonstration was to test the facility’s three new poker tables, internal controls, employee training, surveillance and security, and technical systems.

The addition of the three new tables with eight seats each in the hotel lobby will bring the number of table games to 13.

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission is responsible for all matters relating to the regulation of the state’s casinos. The agency posts monthly financial reports on casino revenue on its website, gaming.mdlottery.com.
