County officials meeting in Flintstone

FLINTSTONE — The Allegany County commissioners will hold their weekly public business meeting in Flintstone on June 20 at 5 p.m. at the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Company. The facility is handicapped accessible.

School board seeks ethics member

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Board of Education is seeking applications for membership on its Ethics Panel.

The five-member body provides advisory opinions, conducts hearings on ethics complaints and makes recommendations to the board on matters relating to conflict of interest, financial disclosure and lobbying disclosure. Ethics Panel members are appointed for a five-year term.  

Members must be county residents and cannot be a member of the board, subject to the board’s control, employee of the board, employee of a business entity subject to the authority of the board or spouse of a board member.

Application forms are available from the board at 108 Washington St. or online at www.boe.allconet.org under the Community tab and Ethics information.
