— Work related to the Cumberland Historic Asset Review photography project began this week in Cumberland. Representatives from the Cumberland Historic Preservation Commission, along with students and instructors from Allegany College of Maryland’s digital photography class are photographing the exteriors of buildings within the project area that includes the Canal Place Preservation District as well as neighborhoods adjacent to Allegany High School. Lynette Marie Huff of Cumberland is pictured here on Friday morning taking a photograph of a house on Washington Street. Photographs will be taken from the public right of way. The project is anticipated to last several weeks, depending on the weather.
