Oakland men arrested in theft of truck

MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK — Garrett County sheriff’s deputies who noticed on Thursday a 2004 Chevrolet pickup without license plates ended up arresting two men for stealing it.

Officers stopped the vehicle at Deer Park Avenue and Maryland Highway about 1 p.m. and eventually discovered the truck had been stolen from Martin’s Auto Salvage 20 minutes earlier.

Dylan Roy Schrock, 21, who was driving, and Levi Edward Crosby, 22, both of Oakland, were in the county’s detention center Saturday on bonds of $5,000.

Each man was charged with taking the vehicle.
