Disc golf disciple

Dan Beachy of Frostburg throws a midrange “chip shot” as he practices disc golf Monday evening at the Parris Glendening Recreation Complex in Frostburg. The target or basket, which belongs to Beachy, replaces the hole in a standard game of golf.  Beachy said he practices daily and is getting ready to compete in a tournament. A game consists of 18 holes and golf rules apply. Beachy averages 250 feet when teeing off. He currently must travel to play and would like to see the sport grow in the area.
