Kinslee Suzanne Bower was the first baby born at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in 2013. Her parents are Amanda Hanft and Nathan Bower of Addison, Pa. Dr. Madie Hartman delivered Kinslee on Jan. 1 at 5:20 a.m., weighing in at 5 pounds, 5.4 ounces and 17 ¼ inches long. The family received a basket of gifts donated by several local businesses.

W.Va. board to meet this week to discuss dangerous animals
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A board tasked with compiling a list of animals that are illegal to keep as pets in West Virginia will consider one that’s shorter than a list suggested earlier.
Media outlets report the state Wild and Dangerous Animal Board will meet on Wednesday as it tries to comply with legislation passed earlier this year.
