All aboard

Tamra Dodd, Fairmont, W.Va., and Howard Tenke, Clarksburg, W.Va., read information about the 1884 Oakland B&O Railroad Station Museum on Saturday during a grand opening of the restored facility. Various grants were obtained to help pay for the restoration, which cost more than $1 million. Upgrades consisted of interior and exterior painting and repairs, roof repairs, air conditioning, humidity control, a new boiler and UV protection on the windows.

Landon Romero and Paige Lyons, both 3 and from Oakland, play on a B&O caboose.

Morgan C. France, Deer Park, demonstrates a working telegraph machine.
