Work to begin on South Centre Street

CUMBERLAND — Water line replacement work will take place between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. on South Centre Street between Harrison and Baltimore streets beginning Monday, according to the Cumberland Engineering Department along with its contractor Belt Paving Inc.

The work is expected to take about three weeks and will be performed Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should expect delays. Questions should be directed to 301-759-6600.

Partial closure of Valley Street

CUMBERLAND — The Cumberland Utilities Department will begin repairs to a 24-inch storm water pipe in the Valley Street right of way Monday at 7 a.m.

Valley Street will be closed between North Centre Street and Henderson Avenue for several days to allow for completion of the repairs.
