Pair of Mildred Klines celebrate 100th birthdays

New centenarians related by marriage to brothers

— CUMBERLAND — Two women who share the same name because they married brothers both turned 100 this month.

Mildred May Divelbiss Kline and Mildred Irene Holler Kline celebrated together Friday at the Lions Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care with family and friends.

Mildred May was born Feb. 22, 1913, and is a now a resident at the Lions Center. She formerly lived in Hyndman, Pa.

Mildred Irene was born Feb. 17, 1913, and lives on Glenmore Street. She is a former resident of New Buena Vista, Pa.

Mildred May married Alfred Kline on Dec. 24, 1930. She has two sons and a daughter, including a set of boy/girl twins. Her eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren include two more sets of twins among the great-grandsons.

Her family traveled from Louisiana, Nevada, California, Texas, Virginia and Pennsylvania to celebrate her birthday.

Mildred Irene married Nile Kline on Nov. 17, 1934. She was employed by the Celanese Corp. until her retirement. She had one son, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
