— FROSTBURG — Two women were arrested Sunday when Maryland State Police made a traffic stop on Interstate 68 and allegedly discovered nearly 140 pounds of suspected marijuana inside their vehicle.

Police said they stopped Tamboura Hall, 36, of Baltimore for allegedly speeding on I-68 near Frostburg shortly before 9 p.m.

The suspected marijuana was packaged in six bundles contained in five luggage bags. Police estimated the value of the seized marijuana at a little more than $200,000.

Hall and the passenger in the vehicle, Chanelle Williams, 36, of Baltimore were both arrested on drug distribution and possession charges before being taken to the Allegany County Detention Center.

Both defendants remained jailed Monday afternoon on $200,000 bond following bail review in district court.
