Utilities Division will start smoke testing sewer lines this week

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Utilities Division will be smoke testing sanitary sewer lines in the McCoole area beginning Feb. 3 and continuing for about two months.

Most work will be in the street and rights of way but some yard entry may be needed. The smoke may enter homes but it is nontoxic, harmless and creates no fire hazard.

Questions may be directed to Nicole Sisler, 301-777-5942, ext. 276.
