ANNAPOLIS (AP) — A handful of potential Democratic candidates in Maryland’s 2014 governor’s race have filed campaign finance reports, and Attorney General Doug Gansler holds a big lead so far overall.
Gansler reported earlier this week that he has $5.2 million in his campaign account.
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman has the second most with $2.1 million.
Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown has about $1.6 million cash on hand. His campaign said he raised $1.25 million in the last year. His campaign also notes he was busy raising money for President Barack Obama.
