Mock crash drill

set at Northern

ACCIDENT — The Northern High School Emergency Services Club will hold a mock accident drill for students today at 2:20 p.m. at the school’s football field.

Taking part in the exercise will be club members, Northern Rescue Squad, Accident Volunteer Fire Department, Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and Maryland State Police. If there is a rainy day, the assembly will be modified to be held in the gym.

The state police helicopter will be landing at the far end of the football field. The police have already visited and selected the area. This notice is to let the community know that this is only a drill and that the 911 call center is part of the mock drill and knows that there is no true emergency.

The drill is open to the public. Students will begin moving to the field at 2 p.m.
