Frostburg cancels Wednesday events

FROSTBURG — Due to the prediction for a winter storm, the city of Frostburg has postponed Wednesday garbage collection until Monday.

The Alley 24 public meeting set for Wednesday has been postponed until March 27 at 5 p.m. in the Lyric Theater on Main Street.

County planners cancel meeting

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Planning Commission has canceled its Wednesday meeting due to the weather prediction.

Foster parents group reschedules

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Foster and Adopted Parents Association has rescheduled its Thursday meeting to March 14 at 6 p.m. at the YMCA Youth Center due to the weather.

Reality Fair to be held next week

CUMBERLAND — The Reality Fair scheduled for Thursday at the Allegany County Fairgrounds has been postponed until March 14, according to the Allegany County Board of Education.

Dance performance at FSU canceled

FROSTBURG — The Frostburg State University Cultural Event Series performance of the Lula Washington Dance Theatre, originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today, has been canceled due to the weather.

Contact the box office at 301-687-3137 to exchange for a future CES performance or to receive a refund.

 

Retired school personnel cancel

CUMBERLAND — The Allegany County Retired School Personnel will not meet Thursday due to the weather.
