Yough Lake rec areas closed

FARMINGTON, Pa. — Several recreation sites at Youghiogheny Lake have been closed temporarily due to high water following recent rainfall, the Army Corps of Engineers said Friday.

The sites include Mill Run Recreation Area; partial campground closure, beach and launch ramp, Jockey Hollow Boat Launch, Tub Run Campground; beach and walk-in tent sites, Spillway Recreation Area and beach.

All facilities identified are expected to remain closed through the holiday weekend. For more information, call 814-395-3242 or 814-395-3166.

Rain location set

for Sunday concert


CUMBERLAND — In the event that inclement weather interferes with the Potomac Concert Band’s Sunday concert in Constitution Park, the performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Washington Street.

Admission is still free and open to the public.
