Work continues Thursday on the Interstate 68 bridge over Kelly Boulevard. The $10 million project, which includes replacement of the bridge deck, is being handled by Kokosing Construction Co. Inc. of South Charleston, W.Va. The Patterson Avenue span also is part of the project with work expected to be completed by the fall of 2014.

Deep Creek watershed district authority to be created
The Draft Deep Creek Watershed Management Plan, which was released Friday by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Garrett County commissioners, recommends that a watershed district authority be created. The authority would be staffed by an executive director, according to the plan.
Two sentenced in Garrett County Circuit Court
Michael Lynn Ware, Oakland, appeared in Garrett County Circuit Court for three cases. He first entered an Alford plea, which does not admit guilt but acknowledges that sufficient evidence exists that could result in a conviction, to theft under $1,000.
