— FROSTBURG — A Frostburg man was arrested Tuesday after his personal identification card was found inside a burglarized vehicle that was parked outside his residence. A Cumberland woman was also arrested.

Frostburg Police said Randall James Kelley II, 32, was charged with theft less than $1,000, possession of burglar’s tools and rogue and vagabond before he was jailed on $10,000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Police also arrested Stephanie Lynn Wright, 26, of Cumberland on two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of theft less than $1,000. She was jailed on $3,000 bond set by a district court commissioner.

Police said that early Tuesday afternoon a Frostburg resident reported that his vehicle had been entered forcibly while parked in the rear of the 100 block of East Main Street.

The victim told Frostburg Police that an electronic amplifier and two subwoofer speakers were stolen. The value of the property was placed at $800.

Kelley was identified as a suspect and police obtained a search warrant for his residence early Tuesday evening.

A second warrant was obtained to expand the search and more than 100 pieces of suspected stolen property were recovered.

“The majority of the stolen property is jewelry but it also includes cell phones, calculators, video games, cameras, knives, watches and various electronic items. These are items that we believe were stolen during entries of residences and vehicles and it is possible that some victims are not even aware that items were stolen from their possession,” said Frostburg Police Chief Royce Douty.

Frostburg Police received assistance in execution of the search warrants by Frostburg State University Police and the C3I Unit.

Douty said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected.
