ACCIDENT — Braden Poling ran eight times for 100 yards and three touchdowns for the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots in a 46-8 victory at the Northern Steelers on Saturday.
Poling scored on 22 and 36-yard runs in the first half and a 12-yard run in the third quarter. He added a 21-yard reception, recorded eight tackles and an interception on defense and kicked two extra points. Kaleb Harden had six carries for 120 yards and added five tackles. Luke Hamilton ran for 80 yards on five attempts to go with eight tackles. Braden Smith also had an interception and Rashawn Haines recovered a fumble for the Patriots.
Ty Kinzey’s 44-yard fourth-quarter run was the lone score for the Steelers.
The Pats scored 27 points in the first quarter of a 53-0 win in Division II action. Jayden Stubbs scored twice in the first quarter, once on a 35-yard run and again on an eight-yard run. Braeden Askins added a first quarter score from 28 yards out, and found the end zone again from 67 yards later in the second, while Carter Swan scored the final touchdown in the opening period on a run of five yards.
Davian Little added a 65-yard touchdown, Bailey Wratchford scored from 23 yards and Jaden Haines put up the final points on a 35-yard scamper.
Wyatt Brehm and J.T. Stevenson were cited as leading the Patriots defense.
The Patriots (2-0) play the Oakland Rams on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Allegany College of Maryland. The Division II game is set for 4 p.m.

KEYSER, W.Va. — Daquain Garland ran in two touchdowns to lead Keyser over the Oakland Rams at Keyser High School on Saturday.
Brady Ours ran in the first score for the Golden Tornado from five yards out. Garland followed with a 40-yard scamper with an Alex Morales kick to make it 14-0. Ian DeWitt put the Rams on the board with a 10-yard run, Alec Horner’s kick made it 14-8.
Garland’s second touchdown came from 15 yards away in the second quarter. Morales made the kick for a 22-8 Keyser lead at the half.
Wade Greason piled on with a 30-yard run and a Morales kick to make it 30-8. Brad Davis’ seven-yard run and Hayden McLaughlin threw a 15-yard pass to DeWitt to cut the lead to 30-20.
Oakland won the Division II game, 8-0, on a fourth quarter touchdown run by Brandon Mersing from the 15. Jordan Worhrbaugh kicked the PAT.
Two weeks ago, Oakland defeated Ridgeley in Division II play, 22-0. Mersing scored two touchdowns on runs of five and 28 yards, while Bryson Maine scored from 40 yards. Jordan Rohrbaugh kicked two conversions.
Keyser (2-0) plays at the Braddock Warriors on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Morgantown Lions 0
CUMBERLAND — Cameron Bratton threw three touchdown passes and ran in two for the Braddock Warriors in a rout of the Morgantown Lions at Allegany High School on Saturday.
Bratton’s touchdown runs both came in the first quarter from 50 and eight yards out. Tatum Logsdon kicked the extra point and ran in the second one to make it 15-0.
Bratton hooked up with Steven Washington for a 50-yard strike for the lone score of the second quarter to make it 20-0 at halftime.
Torrey Banks and Brody Evix both caught touchdown passes in the third quarter and Clinton Hamilton added a 15-yard run in the fourth, all with Tatum Logsdon kicking the PATs.
Braddock (2-0) hosts Keyser on Saturday at 2 p.m.
RIDGELEY, W.Va. — Skylar Crawford scored four touchdowns, including the first three of the afternoon as the Ridgeley Rams rumbled past the Miners on Saturday in Ridgeley.
Following a scoreless first quarter, Crawford took off for two touchdowns in the second quarter. He covered 48 yards for the first trip and then went 42 on the second.
He extended Ridgeley’s lead with a 12-yard run in the third quarter, and finished his day with a 39-yard run to close out the third quarter.
Watt Yates and Tanner Long had the remaining touchdowns. Yates went across from a yard out in the third and Long added a five-yard run in the fourth.
Jacob Strawderman completed all three of his passes for 31 yards in the win.
Logan Crock scored two touchdowns to lead the Rams over the Miners 19-0 in the Division II match up.
Crock broke free on a 70-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and pulled in a 46-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Hare to close out the scoring in the fourth quarter.
Chandler Rhodes scored from the Miners’ 28 for the Rams second touchdown. Crock finished with 123 total yards and Rhodes had 83.
Ridgeley (1-1) had three players — Jacob Blanco, Dalton Pollock and Owen Crites — stand out defensively.
The Rams will play the Patriots at Allegany College of Maryland a week from Saturday.
