King, Allegany run over Chestnut Ridge

— CUMBERLAND — Darian King scored on a 96-yard run in the first quarter and finished with 131 yards rushing as unbeaten Allegany blanked Chestnut Ridge, 20-0, in junior varsity football Wednesday night at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

Brendon Dougherty scored on a two-yard run to give Allegany a 12-0 halftime lead, then tossed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Brenten Miller to complete the scoring in the third quarter. He hooked up with Tyler Eirich for the two-point conversion.

Jordan Patterson ran 14 times for 43 yards and Eirich had 11 carries and 40 yards for Allegany, which finished with 237 yards rushing and 59 passing.

Eirich, Chase DeWitt and Michael Simanski stood out defensively for the Campers (7-0), who host Mountain Ridge on Monday at 7 p.m.
