Allegany jayvees, freshmen win in Little Homecoming tuneup

— CUMBERLAND — Darian King totalled 200 yards and four touchdowns for Allegany in leading the Campers to a 58-8 defeat of Mountain Ridge Monday night in junior varsity football at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

The Campers found the end zone three times in the opening quarter. King ran in from 48 yards and Brendan Daugherty scored on runs of six and nine yards.

Tyler Eirich ran for 122 yards on 10 carries and a 25-yard second-quarter score. Chris Keller returned an interception 28 yards to make it 32-0. King went in again from five yards and Jordan Patterson scampered 46 yards.

The Miners’ lone score came on a touchdown pass from Austin Trenum to Harry Moore to make it 46-8 at the half.

King scored both Allegany second-half touchdowns on a 49-yard reception from Daugherty and a 57-yard punt return.

Daugherty completed 3 of 5 for 92 yards and ran for 43 yards.

Allegany (8-0) plays Fort Hill in Little Homecoming Monday at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

CUMBERLAND — Kristian Robinette and Logan Milburn scored two touchdowns apiece and the Allegany defense pitched a shutout in a 36-0 win over Mountain Ridge in freshman football at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

Robinette scored the first touchdown on a 13-yard run and plowed in again from a yard away in the fourth quarter to finish with 77 yards on 12 carries.

Milburn broke off an 89-yard run in the third and scored the fifth and final touchdown on a 19-yard run in the fourth. He led the team with 162 yards on 10 carries.

Jacob VanMeter had a two-yard touchdown run in the third.

Milburn, VanMeter and Craig Offutt stood out for the Allegany defense.

The Campers (7-1) play Fort Hill in their Little Homecoming game on Monday at at 5 p.m.
