OAKLAND — Brayden Brown scored five of Fort Hill’s six touchdowns, rushed for 190 yards and finished with over 250 all-purpose yards during the Sentinels’ 43-12 win over Southern in junior varsity action on Monday evening.
The Rams were able to get on the board first when Brian Kelly hauled in a 45-yard pass from Peyton Kennedy in the first quarter. Brown would then take over, scoring the next four touchdowns as Fort Hill built a 35-6 lead through halftime.
Brown’s first trip to the end zone came on a 13-yard run that gave the Sentinels a 7-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. Brown scored three more times in the second quarter on runs of 20 and 40 yards, and a punt return that covered 59. Kasey Sullivan punched in the final score of the half with a seven-yard run.
A 62-yard run in the third capped Brown’s scoring summary, and Southern got another touchdown between Kelly and Kennedy, this time for 73 yards, for the final points.
Ethan York and Jordan Warner had interceptions, and Luke Stegmaier also stood out for the Sentinels defense.
Fort Hill (1-2) will host Musselman on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Mountain Ridge 6
CUMBERLAND — Darian King scored three touchdowns, combined for over 200 yards receiving and rushing and had two interceptions to push Allegany over Mountain Ridge Monday at Greenway Avenue Stadium.
King collected 159 yards on five catches, including a 56-yard touchdown from Carson Imes, rushed for 50 more, including a 23-yard touchdown, and returned an interception 96 yards as part of his big evening.
Imes added a 27-yard touchdown to Derek Kerns to finish 7 of 10 through the air for 193 yards, and returned an interception 83 yards for the last Allegany score.
Tyler Eirich added the remaining touchdown on an 11-yard run in the second quarter. Eirich also picked off two passes as the Campers finished with five altogether. Jordan Patterson and Caleb Wilt also stood out for the Campers defense.
Harry Moore and Dalton Jeffreys connected on a touchdown pass for the Miners.
Allegany (3-0) plays Monday at Northern.

CUMBERLAND — Logan Milburn scored the only touchdown of the night on a seven-yard run in the second quarter as the Allegany freshmen downed the Northern junior varsity on Monday at Greenway Avenue Stadium.
Shawn Rhodes caught a pass for a two-point conversion to make it 8-0.
Kristian Robinette led the Allegany offense with 14 carries and 82 yards while Milburn ran 11 times for 58 yards.
Robinette had eight tackles, Craig Offutt four tackles and two sacks and Dylan Clark four tackles and three sacks to lead the defense. Cole Holler and Shawn Rhodes had interceptions.
Allegany (3-0) plays at Mountain Ridge on Monday. Northern will host the Allegany jayvees on Monday.
