MCHENRY - David Lang fired a 3-under par 68 to take home medalist honors and lead Potomac State to wins over Garrett and Westmoreland in junior college golf Tuesday at the Wisp.
Lang's 68 tied the low team score for the year for the Catamounts. Brain Affleck shot a 1-over 72, and Jeremy Thompson had a 79.
As a team, the Catamounts scored a 303. Neither Garrett nor Westmoreland had a team score for the event.
"This is the second straight tournament that we have posted a 3-under par," said Potomac State coach Aaron Edwards. "The great thing is they came form two different players, and if we continue playing well we have a chance to really post some good scores in the near future. We have one goal at this time and that is to win the Region XX championship. All the guys have worked hard, and it is finally showing."
Potomac State (13-1) plays today at the Beaver Creek Country Club, which will be the site of the Region XX Championships on May 5-6.
