Chaney aces in Pinewacker League

KEYSER, W.Va. - Les Chaney scored a hole-in-one and led his team to first place in the Pinewacker Golf League Thursday at the Polish Pines Golf Club.

Chaney aced the 140-yard second hole with a seven-iron, which was witnessed by his teammates, Jim Miers and Ron Yutzy. It was Chaney's ninth career hole-in-one. Chaney, Miers and Yutzy won the team play with a 60. Closest to the pins were Chaney on No. 2 and No. 4, Mel Evans on No. 6 and Rich Likens on No. 8.

Next week's starting time will be 9 a.m.
