Kemp team wins at Valley View

MOOREFIELD - A record 59 members competed in the Valley View Senior Golf League on Wednesday.
The team of Bob Kemp, Gerry Lawrence, Dwane Barr, Bob Allen and Warden Hott took top honors at 12 under par in the modified scramble format.
Ken Ayers, Russ Newman, Tom Fraley and Richard Cooper took second with 11 under and club pro Dick Riggleman's team of Don Peters, Roger Crites and Bob Cain tied with Carroll Link, Richard Eye, Al Eichman and Richard Bissell for third at 10 under.
Pin winners were Ken Ayers, Jim Michael (2), Dennie Dunlap and Steve Moore.
The league meets every Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. for registration and has a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
