Preston tops at Wisp

MCHENRY — Preston County shot a 366 to win a five-team match on Monday at the Wisp.

Jordan Snyder led Preston with an 81, and Garrett Sausen shot an 84.

Northern finished in second place with a team score of 370. Austin Doerr posted the low score for the match with a 79, while teammate Ed Herpel shot an 81.

Southern finished third at 386, and was led by Brady Donaldson with an 88 and Reece Duncan with a 91.

Fort Hill had a score of 401, good for fourth, and was led by Drew Morgan with an 87. Mountain Ridge placed fifth with a 478 team score.

The match was the first of the season for all of the Maryland schools. Northern will host Keyser at the Wisp on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
