Southern tops Tucker

OAKLAND — Tyler Ewing and Reese Duncan each shot below 45 to lead Southern over Tucker County in high school golf Wednesday at the Oakland Country Club.

Ewing finished with a 42 and Duncan had a 44 as the Rams won, 177-193.

Tucker County’s Ethan Slaubaugh was the low medalist with a 41. Teammates Zach Evans and Matthew Patrick each had a 49.

Billy Gindelsberger shot a 45 for the Rams.

Southern (23-8) closes its season next week against Northern. Day and time is to be determined. Tucker County (13-21) will participate in the regional Monday.
